Castlerea Community School once again excelled in the 2021 ETTA (Engineering and Technology Teachers’ Association) Young Technologist Regional and National Awards. In the Regional Final Ronan Tumbek achieved first place and Stephen McNeill came second for their Leaving Certificate Technology Projects. The students were mentored by their technology teacher, Ms Y Hanbury. They each received a specially engraved Gold (Ronan) and Silver (Stephen) medal and certificate.

Both students qualified for the ETTA National Finals which were held in the Technological University of the Shannon: Athlone. Here they received “Certificates of Distinction” for their Leaving Cert. Technology Projects.
