Fairy Door
LCA students were delighted to participate in the Fairy Door Project for their Local Development Project in Vocational Preparation. Mr. Gerry Beirne and Mr. Anthony Cahill sponsored this exciting project . Students made, painted and decorated their own fairy doors and these will be displayed in the Demesne after Christmas.
The students learned many new skills and enjoyed the whole experience. Gerry and Anthony visited the school on Monday for a short ceremony and celebration. Ms. Ryan (Principal), Mr. Burke (Deputy Principal), Ms. Colleary (Chaplain), Ms Connaughton (Art Teacher) and Ms. Larkin ( Class Teacher) also attended. They praised the students for their hard work and commitment and they were very impressed with the beautiful and diverse selection of doors produced. The students thanked Gerry and Anthony for their help and support. They also thanked Ms. Larkin for co-ordinating The Fairy Door Project and they are looking forward to seeing their creations on display in the New Year.
