The “Pope John Paul 11 Awards”
Congratulations to 5th Year students Leanne Vaughan, Michéal Shriane and Shane Larkin who were presented with their Silver and Bronz “Pope John Paul 11 Awards” in a special ceremony in Summerhill College, Sligo, recently. The awards were presented in recognition of the students’ efforts last year as part of their Transition Year Programme.
Bishop Kevin Doran commended all recipients from the Diocese of Elphin for actively taking part in the life of the Church and in the life of the community and society. Conall Murphy and Aisling McDermott (5th Year) who weren’t available to attend the ceremony, will be presented with their “Pope John Paul 11 Awards” in school at a later stage. Well done to all recipients.
