Success For TY Enterprise Teams

Congratulations to two of our TY Enterprise teams on their great success in the County Finals of the Student Enterprise Programme Awards recently.
The RustBusters Team of Holly Connolly & Katelyn Drury pictured above with Anne Browne LEO, Jarlath Burke, Acting Principal, Yvonne Ryan, Teacher and James Reidy, Acting Deputy Principal, were the overall County Winners and will go on to represent Co. Roscommon in the National Final on 14th May.

Congratulations also to the Castlerea CS “Tabletastic” Enterprise team (Áine Brennan, Clara Canny, Alanna Foley and Amy McDermott pictured below with Anne Browne, LEO and Yvonne Ryan, Teacher) who won Best Environmental/Upcycling Award and also to our other county finalists,”To Dye For” (Kelis Curran, Marianne Conroy, Abi Flanagan, Ellie Mulrenan).

The Student Enterprise Programme offers students the opportunity to take a business from idea stage, through market research to production, selling, record keeping, management and finally writing a comprehensive report on the business. Participation in the Student Enterprise Programme enables students acquire and develop a wide range of personal and business attributes and skills.

This was a great achievement for all the students involved and their mentor, Ms Yvonne Ryan.
