LCVP Guest Speaker
CCS was delighted to welcome Mr Benny O’Connell, successful local entrepreneur and community activist to the school recently. Benny visited CCS to speak to senior Business, LCVP and LCA students. He covered a wide range of topics from starting and running your own business to community involvement and enterprise. He outlined the background to his own business and gave a very realistic insight into the sacrifices and rewards involved in running your own business. He offered very valuable advice to young people regarding their future careers and following their dreams, emphasising the importance of finding a job they enjoy.
He outlined the importance of continuously striving to improve your business to keep ahead of the competition. While speaking about his community involvement, he highlighted to the students the importance of giving back to your community as well as supporting local wherever possible. Andrew Lyons thanked Benny on behalf of the class for the valuable insight given into the business world and wished him continued success.
