Castlerea Community School once again excelled in the 2017 ETTA (Engineering and Technology Teachers’ Association) Young Technologist Regional Awards gaining three awards for Leaving Certificate Technology projects and one for Junior Certificate. The Awards Ceremony was held in Summerhill College, Sligo.

Colm Earley 1st, Shane Tobin 2nd and James Fannon 3rd received awards for their Leaving Certificate Technology Projects and Dylan Gaughan  received a 3rd  place award for his  Junior Certificate Project.  They each received specially engraved Crystal Trophies and certificates. Colm and Shane go forward to the National Finals in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. Each project was individual and incorporated electronics including electromechanical control. Some of the projects were controlled by programming. They also produced Design Folios.

Well done to all to all four students. This is a truly wonderful achievement and C.C.S. is justly proud of these students.
